Like I already don't read books or watch that many shows/movies which is probably bad. I've been relying almost entirely on YouTube and like 3 movies/shows a year for my media diet and it's obviously getting pretty hit-or-miss lol. Like I do listen to music too but something's missing in all of this

Yeah that's an issue for me too. More than a year ago I stopped playing single player games. I rarely watch shows or movies alone. I only watch youtube and I mostly game/watch something with someone else

May I recommend revisiting childhood favorites-or engaging in multiplayer games with your friends? I’ve only started to actively play video games because of my partner, who has some games that have remote play as an available option!

Ohhhh man I feel this. I leave the workshop and try to play something and will immediately start thinking about how I should be back in the shop finishing a project or cleaning or whatever. Sometimes I'm really in the zone and the amount of output feels great. Othertimes I get obviously burnt out and everything feels like a slog, but I still cant go relax. When you figure this out, please tell me FIRST.

Play some old games from your childhood and write about them on Neocities! JOIN US.

Try finding a game you loved as a kid on backloggd.com and then look at the lists it's in. That's how I've been finding new stuff and it's really helped with actually making myself play things :D Especially if I contextualize it as inspiration research for my own projects lol

It's the final photo in the daily series, and the entire Tabling gang is saying farewell to San Antonio. I had the privilege of going somewhere really far away when living on my own for the first time (since graduating during COVID was like the last chance to get a remote job) and I need to be near my family again before I inevitably lose it. But man, if the rest of Texas didn't suck so much I could almost see myself

living in this city for the rest of my life, specifically the underrated downtown core that developed before cars were a thing. Farewell southwest, I must go back where it's cold now... also no site updates until my move is done now see you guys later!!! Also thank you to my friend for letting me into this building https://maps.app.goo.gl/xRjGuSGbxzBsPXTF8

For daily photo 5 of 6, Wade is posed up in front of In-N-Out Burger at night because he's also cool in his own way. All the fast food aficionados are rolling their eyes right now, but god dammit I'm gonna miss this chain. Never has any other burger place tried so hard to keep their food as close to $5 as possible, without compromising on the taste. I WILL MISS YOU IN-N-OUT https://maps.app.goo.gl/RRxTsGKDZaqprmae6

hell yeah southwest USA rocks. In n out is a forever favorite. i love you double double ......
Maybe the premade/frozen needs more steps for cooking rather than "place on pan and put in oven"? Also not too sure how to deal with that
Yeah same with gas station snacks. I'll keep stewing on this because it's promising...
You know what, now that yall say this... i keep rewatching shows i like instead of watching new ones. Ive been craving too many familiar things watch-wise.
I COMMENTED ON THE WRONG STATUS LMFAO OOPS
This reminds me: I need to go grocery shopping lol
I just sent you an email about a solution to the loophole-I over exceeded the word limit here. Please have a read when you get the chance!
Alternatively, or maybe even in paralell, I've found that once you make/find a recipe for a meal that you really like, take the time to write it down or print it out on a piece of paper, making modifications as you go. Then store it someplace like a folder, and boom! Suddenly you're writing your own cookbook.
For me, it makes cooking more engaging, like you're practicing a skill with intent rather than relying on luck to feed you for the day. It doesn't even have to be any complicated recipes, it's more about the fact that you're developing the knowledge of understanding the why's and how's of cooking, even if at a basic level. So that's my challenge to those reading
to @dequake's point, writing down your favorite recipes serves as a reminder of good meals helps remind you that there are good things you can make instead when the urge to eat out strikes
