Can't believe you beat me to reviewing a MSX game! In my defence, my MSX2 is currently busted and needs new capacitors. I remember a friend of mine had a GBA pirate cart filled with NES roms and that's where I discovered Circus Charlie. Cute clowns will always be appreciated in this household.

Haha I had no idea there was an MSX version (or any other version)! Once I started playing it I was like damn should have done another collab because it has nuances to the controls that other versions don't, which you always manage to interrogate very well.

The less hands-on controls feel, the less I feel like I'm even playing the game at all, so QTEs also don't do it for me. Less scriptedness please!

Oh my gott, a fellow bB driver! Sadly my 1st gen now gone, but it remains my favourite car and I have fielded the question "Why are you driving a loaf of bread?". (I also had a 1st gen Rav4 back in the day, brag over!) May I suggest a candidate for your consideration: the glorious Daihatsu Move SR Turbo.

The further I read the more the Alien Breed comparison made sense, ahaha (thanks for the shout-out also!). Yeah, confusing maze layouts, beginners traps, purchasing items, emphasis on memorisation, absolutely the more obnoxious aspects of Alien Breed!
Yeah I paint the minis myself. You don't need great skills to start painting, the good thing about paints is that if you make a mistake you can always paint over :).
