Don't know if you care for feedback, but the microblog layout is a little uncomfortable to navigate, with my eyes I mean. Read one entry...go left, down, back up, or even right?

It was never meant to be read in any order and it started out as an experiment. I'm not even sure how it looks on other people's screens and looking back on it the code is really messy and hacked together. Redesigning the microblog is one of the things on my list, but it's pretty far down at the moment.

I never heard the "Mines are dangerous.." one but it tickles me that there's someone else who recalls lines from C&C Generals in everyday life. I could exactly hear the voice of the other three lines you mentioned in my head. My favourite was "Let's go car shopping!" from the GLA

"AKs for everyone!" That game is so racist yet memorable.

Having recently gone on leave from work myself, I relate to this so much. I push pressure on myself to emerge from leave stronger, smarter, etc, but in the end, I just emerged well-rested and that was enough.

Happy new year, I don't think I've caught your updates since it started. I definitely support the 3D printing idea; I did that recently with some more expensive units in my 40k army.
