could it be possible that neocities is using a bot to ban people because i’ve heard so many talk about how their sites were randomly deleted with no explanation

this is setting a really depressing future for neocities, a site that prides itself on being an outlet for expression shouldn’t be banning people this easily. now i feel like i’m in a minefield

i do my RSS updates manually, following this guide: https://rssguide.neocities.org/ it's not so bad, you just need to remember to do it!

@tackyvillain i used to update an rss feed manually before i converted my site to 11ty, but i ended up breaking it a few times. my entire artwork page probably needs a rehaul anyway

i was reading up on the "writers who don't read books" conversation and that motivated me to pick up dune after procrastinating it for ages. i'm not a Writer (i'm more fulfilled making visual art) but i do WRITE things and it would probably be helpful to read more if i want to talk about my characters. i also forget how fun reading is until i pick up a book lol

I hope uou enjoy Dune!! I also got back into reading after a long hiatus thanks to Dune. I found Dune to be really suprisingly easy to read, but also very fun to pick apart and analyse. Which kind of makes it perfect for getting out of a reading slump. And it's long, which makes it feel like an achievement when you finish reading it lmao

@rabbitnet i love it so far, so immersive! the length of the series did put me off at first but now i'm realising it's just more story for me to enjoy, my mistake was treating it like a chore lol
