totally understandable to be overwhelmed, i know you're just starting out! if it helps, you're more than welcome to use the code on the github as-is - literally just download the "warnings" folder, put the folder in your neocities, and then paste [explained below] inside the head tag at the top of whichever pages you want the warnings displayed on and it should work!

i appreciate the effort !! im just super lost on how to implement this onto things that arent the index and im also just. nooot familiar with javascript yet :( its a lot of new / indescipherable (?) info for me so i get overwhelmed rip

is everyone just storing all their subsites in the "home" or is it possible to have functional sites be in folders?

like, when i put a subsite in a folder the images just dont seem to work? wether theyre in the same folder or not. ive checked to link back to them correctly, but that doesnt fix it :(

it's definitely possible to put images in subfolders with an html file (im guessing thats what you mean by "sites"?). are you sure the link is correct? you need to put a slash before the image url. example: (i think). i hope it works for you soon. - f

oop neocities comments don't like code i guess. the thing to paste is in the "how to use" bit on the github page, you paste it into the head tag at the top of your html pages once you have the warnings folder on your site. but also no pressure, ok to stick with what you're comfortable with! good luck
