I’m starting university in Malaysia on April 24. I can manage reading to some extent, but I’m not very confident in speaking or writing, so I’m really worried about whether I’ll be able to keep up. I’m still not good at switching between spoken and written English, and I’m afraid I might sound rude without meaning to. I’m also worried that I won’t be able to understand people if they speak too fast.

And honestly, I have many other concerns besides my English skills…
If you tell them you're and international student, I'm sure everyone will understand that even if you make mistakes, you are still just trying your best (*ˊᗜˋ*)/ !!! But it is better to still talk to people despite your concerns,, or else you won't improve at speaking English. Good luck starting university, and have fun in Malaysia !!
